As per the survey conducted by The Wealth Intelligence Company, New World Wealth, The iconic Sahara Group‘s Plaza Hotel of New York is the top-most hotel rated by the super rich of the world. The hotels were ranked on the basis of votes by the multi-millionaires over the past 12 months. The survey included wealthy individuals and renowned hotels from all over the world. The Plaza hotel is amongst the three prized overseas hotel assets along with Dream Downtown in New York and Grosvenor House in London owned by Sahara group.
According to the official spokesperson of the Sahara Group, “It is a great moment of pride for the Sahara group. Great success achieved during such a hard time. We are glad that we made it to the top, leaving behind such renowned personalities all over the world. We hope the same for our upcoming ventures too.”
Along with the top-ranked Plaza, The Bellagio in Las Vegas was second and was followed by London’s Mandarin Oriental, Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes (France) and La Mamounia in Marrakech (Morocco) in top-five. Others in the top-ten included Little Nel in Aspen (US) at six place, Singapore’s Raffles (7th), Ritz Paris (8th), Villa d’Este in Lake Como, Italy (9tokayh) and Dubai’s Burj Al Arab (10th). According to the facts of the survey, most of these top ranked hotels are relatively small. The Plaza along with Mandarin Oriental, Burj Al Arab and Bellagio are the only ones having more than 150 rooms. The Mandarin Oriental was rated top hotel in the UK and Europe, La Mamounia in Africa and Raffles in Asia.
