Edu-Hour

As schools and colleges shut down, how are ed-tech company Jaro Education helping students?

Jaro Education bringing a new ‘normal’ in education sphere amid coronavirus outbreak. Harnessing its technological capabilities, it has been offering online management courses. With everyone quarantining amid COVID-19 outbreak, can online learning become mainstream in Indian education space?

As India enters a period of ‘total lockdown’ to curb the spread of COVID-19, several sectors are inevitably being affected. Similarly, challenges facing education sector are also unprecedented with the closure of schools and universities. However, for the latter, fortunately, several ed-tech companies are stepping in to help students make the most of the situation by offering full and free access to their online platform and content.

Unacademy, an online learning platform that provides study materials to students, especially those appearing for competitive exams, has recently announced over 20,000 free live classes that otherwise had to be paid for. While classes have been put on hold in schools and colleges, at this point of time, the students who pursue courses online seem to be taking the catbird seat. For instance, Jaro Education, a Mumbai-based online education service provider, has been offering online and part-time management courses.

Harnessing its online tools and technology, the company delivers lectures imparted by renowned management institutes such as IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Trichy, NSE Academy, WeSchool and many more. The courses that it offers range from BBA, Executive MBA, IIM Ahmedabad Certificate courses to DBA program. Talking about the shutting down of schools and colleges amid the virus outbreak, Jaro Education, CEO Dr. Sanjay Salunkhe, said, “We will contribute to the education system in the best possible way we can to help our students ride the storm.”

With academic experts working remotely on designing online courses coupled with its technological capability, India’s ed-tech sector is robust enough to handle any disruption in the education system. Perhaps this is the right time to start something new which will add value to you and to your career graph. Offering extraordinary services like live lectures, online group discussions, flexibility in lecture timing and needless to mention the courses that are at par with the industry trends and demands, the top ed-tech companies have managed to act as the best alternative to schools for the students, especially at times like today. However, while you hunker down in your bid to ‘flatten the curve”, are you doing your best to be productive? Have you embraced online learning yet? Perhaps, this is something to ponder on if you haven’t already.
