Relief India Trust organises ‘school chalo abhiyan’

The Relief India Trust recently organized a ‘School Chalo Abhiyaan‘ under Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee‘s inspired ‘Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan’. The NGO made a charitable visit to a government school of Noida and distributed free goodies to the students. Children’s development is one of the prime concerns of Relief India Trust and it organizes various campaigns promoting their interests.

The NGO visited a primary school in Sultanpur, Noida, and engaged in multiple relief-related exercises. The school has strength of over 180 students and they were all distributed academics’ related stationery. The NGO presented the students gift sets, comprising of school bags, lunch and geometry boxes and other day-to-day stationery, including pens and jotters. The Organization also prepares educational material for ‘child labor-turned-students’ and various books for the marginalized sections of the society, willing to learn.

Under the Government’s Mid-day Meal scheme, the organization sponsored meal for the students and distributed various other food items. The NGO emphasizes on an overall growth of children with a focus on extracurricular activities too. Besides a range of educational products, the organization also presented items like carom boards, cricket sets, footballs and board games. The charitable organisation has successfully inspired various institutions to ‘give’ more.
Relief India Trust is an initiative to promote community mobilization, participatory governance and sustainable growth. Education and preservation of environment are central to the activities of the NGO. The group has organized Village Education Committees (VECs), Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and CBOs to promote the protection of child rights, boost literacy rates among adolescent girls and to motivate youth to participate in literacy programs.
