Joker “glorifies violence”, must not be screened: The Hypocritical Indian Cinema Board

Avatar

Oscar-winning movie Joker has been banned from Indian TV screening. The Film Certificate Appellate Tribunal has taken the decision to not allow the film to be aired on television as the movie “glorifies violence”.

“We tend to agree that the film glorifies violence and in as it is seen by non-adults, it would have a lasting effect on their impressionable minds”, said FCAT.
