Twitter War between Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover: Is it real?

Popular comedy king Kapil Sharma has been in the news recently for various reasons. Last Saturday, he and the cast of The Kapil Sharma Show were on a flight from Australia after a performance tour. Mid-air, Kapil got into a scuffle with someone, and got very agitated. Sunil Grover, the talented comedian, who plays the roles of Dr Mashoor Gulati and Rinku Bhabhi in the hit show, tried to intervene. Eye-witnesses have told the media that this is when Kapil verbally abused his colleague, and hit him too.

An eyewitness was quoted as saying, “Without any provocation, Kapil pounced on Sunil Grover. We saw Kapil loudly abusing Sunil. Sunil kept quiet, probably thinking that Kapil would calm down after the outburst. But Kapil got more aggressive. His loud abuses could be heard right across the flight cabin. He then physically assaulted Sunil.” Seeing things getting ugly, the flight attendants intervened, but Sunil kept his cool and asked them to overlook the matter.

Post the fight, there was news that Sunil Grover had left Kapil’s show. On Monday, Kapil downplayed the incident, and issued a public apology to Sunil. Kapil tweeted, “Paji @WhoSunilGrover sry if I hurt u unintentionally.u knw vry well how much I luv u. M also upset .love n regards always:)”

But Sunil Grover isn’t moved by Kapil’s apology. He has put up a heart-touching post on his Twitter handle, stating that Kapil is the most talented of the lot, but he should not be acting like a God. Needless to say, the comedian is hurt by his colleague’s misdemeanor, and will take time to recover from the bitter feeling.
