The WHO is concerned about a new strain of the virus, known as Covid-19 omicron. The report notes that the Omicron variant is more contagious than previous strains, and may pose a threat to travelers who are not immune to the virus. This is why travel restrictions have been implemented in the United States and Japan. However, the CDC warns against travel bans, as travel restrictions may actually worsen the situation.

The latest outbreak of Covid-19 is in India. According to the government’s statistics, India is now the second largest country to experience the disease.
