Indian Doubles group of Women archers, Laishram Bombayla Devi and Deepika Kumari were the main center of attraction at the Rio India while Manoj Kumar no more lagged behind to enter the boxing ring with a triumph. On the other hand, there were start shooters like Jitu Rai who lost the Olympic campaign complexly on the fifth day of these Rio Olympics Games.

In Archery doubles, Laishram Bombayla Devi and Deepika Kumari energized the Rio Olympics post women’s individual recurve event. Another joyful moment for India was when Manoj defeated London’s Evaldas Petrauskas in the opening welterweight (64kg) category.

Deepika put a grand Olympics show when she defeated Sartori Guendalina from Italy with a winning score of 6-2. This 22-year-old girl from Jharkhand, who was earlier defeated in the very first round of London Games almost four years back has come with a bang. Her latest score of 24-27, 29-26, 28-26, 28-27 is no less than a victory for the nation.

Let us now see the scene of the sixth day at Olympics.

On the sixth day of Rio Olympics 2016, it is expected that S.S.P Chowrasia from India will play round 1 of golf. In the game called Badminton, in Women’s Double Group A, group of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa from India will play against Japanese Ayaka Takahashi and Misaki Matsutomo. Under Men’s Group D doubles, B. Sumeeth Reddy and Manu Attri from India will play against Indonesian doubles team of Hendra Setiawan and Mohammad Ahsan. In Badminton singles, PV Sindhu from India will play against Hungarian Laura Sarosi in Group M, and Saina Nehwal from India will be playing against Brazilian Lohaynny Vicente whereas in Men’s Group H Srikanth Kidambi from India will play against Mexican Lino Munoz. In Boxing Shiva Thapa of India will fight with Robeisy Ramirez Carrazana from Cuba and in Hockey Women’s tournament Group B will be played between USA and India team.
