Atrangii TV by Vibhu Agarwal – Set in motion

The Indian audience’s fondness for daily sitcoms and family entertainment is well-known, thus broadcasters have been working hard to keep up with the latest trends in order to provide good shows to their audiences. Vibhu Agarwal Ullu CEO, hosted a grand launch party for his new Hindi TV Channel, Atrangii- Dekhte Raho. It was a star-studded evening that witnessed the presence of big names and artists from the television industry.

Atrangii TV is designed to provide high-quality content for HSM (Hindi Speaking Market) and is expected to begin with a four-hour line-up of unique programming on the first day. However, it will offer finite series with world-class production and handling, providing material with a distinct advantage over already produced shows in the Hindi GEC arena.

The channel will target HSM audiences aged 15 and above with both fiction and non-fiction series in genres such as action, mythology, humour, drama, horror, suspense, and thrillers. “Atrangii TV will debut with original shows made by well-known production houses and featuring some of the industry’s biggest names. The shows will feature popular actors such as Shweta Tiwari, Rashmi Desai, Isha Koppikar, Shilpa Shinde, Rahul Roy, Vishal Aditya Singh, Bhumika Gurung, Hrishita Bhatt, Rituparna Sengupta, and Ashmit Patel, among others,” informs Atrangii TV CEO, Vibhu Agarwal.

It has been announced that the channel would begin with a large library of programming that will keep viewers glued to their screens. This will be followed by the launch of Atrangii App, a specialised OTT platform for digital viewers that will stream live content and broadcast on television. Additionally, Vibhu Agarwal Ullu CEO notes, “In our country, Atrangii channel will be available on all DTH platforms, including Tata Sky, Airtel, D2H, Dish, and all cable networks, including Hathway, Fastway, Den, and GTPL.”

The news of the channel’s opening, coupled with the names linked with it, has created a buzz among the public, which will boost the channel’s TRP ratings. At the event, Vibhu Agarwal, the Founder and CEO of Atrangii TV said that his team is incredibly thrilled to break into the broadcasting industry and build on their ambition to offer quality content for the patrons. “We were looking for a channel name that defines the multi-genre diversity of our content. Hence Atrangi, a phrase extremely common in the Hindi heartland and means unusual and entertaining, the terms we feel also defines our content offering,” shared Agarwal.

Atrangii will feature a variety of genres, including slice-of-life dramas, thrillers, mysteries, and comedy. We want The channel to have its own personality, creating the shift from endless soap operas toward finite series. Vibhu Agarwal Ullu CEO concluded by sharing, “With this new GEC, we expect to not just enter the households across the length and breadth of the country but also emerge as the go-to destination for entertainment across both satellite and digital space.”
