Heritage Fresh Supermarket will offer basic items like milk, vegetables and water at reduced price in coming week. Looking at the severe conditions of weather in Chennai and hike in prices of vegetable as a result of same, Heritage Fresh will offer discounts in its 30 local supermarket centres in the metropolitan city.
The tomato, which is available at minimum rate of Rs 80 and maximum rate of Rs 100 for each kg, Heritage Fresh is all set to sell the same at reduced price of Rs 57 per kg. The revised rate of onions, which is Rs 60 per kg at the moment, will be available at Rs 49 per kg at Heritage Fresh.
COO at Heritage Retail and Bakery Division, Dharmender Matai said, “Chennai witnessed one of the most tragic natural calamities over the last few weeks. It is important for organizations to extend their support during these times. We have extended our support to help out the people”.
The state government has already announced 50 additional fair price vegetable outlets in the city to provide fruits and vegetables at concessional rates.
