India’s TCS, Infosys, HCL, Wipro feature amongst top 10 world’s most valued IT services

Four Indian companies – TCS, Infosys, HCL and Wipro – have made it in the top 10 global IT services in 2018 – 19, in a report by Brand Finance. While Accenture took the first spot, valued at USD 23.6 billion, IBM grabbed the second spot with a valuation of USD 20.4, followed by TCS at third.

The report stated, “Holding steady in third place is India’s largest IT services conglomerate, TCS, up 23 per cent to USD 12.8 billion, with a value bolstered by the brand’s disciplined focus on the market’s increased demand for digital services,”.

The report by Brand Finance further revealed that TCS is the first Indian organization to have made a mark in the Japanese market, and position itself as a leader in providing holistic customer experience using artificial intelligence and robotic automation.

Released at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, the report said that Wipro has made a debut in the top-10 this year.

“Up 25 per cent to USD 4 billion, Wipro’s significant investments in digital transformation capabilities, niche acquisitions, and a recent brand refresh, have propelled it to be the third fastest-growing brand in the segment,” it added.

Infosys, another top IT service provider from India held onto its position at number five with an increase in the brand value by 8 per cent to USD 6.5 billion. Cognizant too, retained the fourth position with the brand value up by 12 per cent to USD 8.7 billion.

Capgemini, DXC Technology and NTT Data were others in the top-10 list.

Ravi Viswanathan, Chief Marketing Officer at TCS, which brought laurels to the country by achieving the third position, said, “2018 was a year of celebrations at TCS, marking the completion of five decades of industry-leading customer satisfaction, business performance, and community impact,”

He further said that the last year at TCS saw achievement of multiple milestones with USD 100 billion mark in market capitalization.
